Needs a transit Visa from Kenya

Hello, I have a friend who is a Kenyan citizen and resides in Kenya. He is travelling to Malta through Istanbul. He has a Visa for Malta but has a long 17hr layover in Istanbul and may need to collect his baggage at the airport and recheck in in Istanbul to get on the flight to Malta.
My question is does he require a Visa and, if so, can he get it electronically, or does he need to go to the Embassy in Nairobi.

Good evening,

I am an Australian permanent resident visa holder and I currently still hold my Indonesian passport.
Do I need a valid visa to enter Turkiye?
What other requirements that I need to fulfil?
I have a friend who will provide me with the accommodation in Turkiye so I won't be staying at the hotel.
Do I need any reference letter from my friend in regards to that?

Passport validity duration to stay in Turkey

Hello, and hope you are doing well.

I am an Iranian citizen, currently obtaining my PhD from the University of Toronto on a Temporary Resident visa and a Study Permit.

I am planning to travel to Turkey in August and stay there for three weeks. I am wondering:
1. As an Iranian citizen, is there a time limit by which I can stay in Turkey? I am aware that I do not need a visa to enter or leave Turkey.
2. Does Turkey have a six-month passport validity policy (aka my passport needing to be valid for at least six months from the day of my departure from Turkey, which will be August 21, 2025? My current passport expires on 13/02/2026. I have been reading that Turkey requires a 90-day validity on passports, but I would like to double-check that with you before my trip.
